Master graduation project at LUCA
There are many products in the market but most of them do not have much or any information about how they were made, the implications to the environment and the society, how safe is the manufacturing process? Do these products imply child labor? What are the hidden environmental impacts? How about health risks? What type of chemical ingredients are used? How many hazardous ingredients are used? These are questions that are not only addressed enough, they are also not replied or communicated in a transparent and thorough way.
This project shows some possible negative consequences of consuming products through the unveiling of the design process, through an installation, which consists of a design studio with prototypes of products. Stories are untold about information and disadvantages and the hidden consequences as well as potential side effects of consuming products used in daily life.
Re-dressing/designing consuming products based on their consequences.
